Benzocaine

Benzocaine is a white, crystalline, odorless powder that is poorly flammable and insoluble in water but soluble in organic solvents such as ethanol and ether. It has a slightly sweet taste. This chemical compound is an ester derived from para-aminobenzoic acid (PABA), which gives it local anesthetic properties.
